I am considering taking the KS Nusience Wildlife Control test. I have some questions that I hope you can or will answer. You can answer with a PM if you choose. Do most of you guys carry liability Insurance? Can you give me an idea what it costs? What company did you use?

Thanks RED

Thanks Peace Keepr. That is not as bad as I thought it would be. Is there a way that you protect your personal assets and your family from the business liability or does the insurance cover that?

Does it pay anything towards having your skunk sprayed clothing cleaned and descented?

I'm woundering how a contract protects you from the animal??? :?:
Here the darn animals either can not read and comprehend the terms of the contract or they just don't care, cause some of them still spray you or bite you or try their teeth out on you and your brand new gear!!! :( :P

When I did the NWCO thing all my contracts had a waver of liability that was legal and binding when signed by the client, also stating that they had fully read and understood the contents of the contract and what was covered as far as my services went. I never had a problem.

thanks for the laugh hot wire guess i left my self open for that one but you are exactly right and that is what i mean by protection from the animal as stated on the contract i am not liable for any damage the animals cause to property or idiots (idots being those people that may try to play with or release the trapped animal) while in the trap and they sign and date as such stating that as the property owner asking for the removal of said animal that they are liable for any dameges that may be caused by said animal

PK you run into all kinds of folks and all sorts of perdicaments when doing any kind of service work but NWc work seems to have the most of each.

Hi guys, I have just passed my NWCO test in NY. I want to start a little side business with it.
One of my questions is what type of contracts to you have your clients sign to protect you from any damages?
Would any of you be willing to send me one to look over, so I know what needs to be on it, and can make my own up?
Thanks

I know this post is dated but, I would be interested in seeing this liability form too please.
I've passed my wildlife control test and am waiting for my license to arrive.
