caught 5 like this last week while doing damage control at a local golf course

Nice job.

I have been trying to trick a smart old beaver for a week now and can't get him to play. Almost time for night vision scope.

Try the under water tray with foot holds in it. They will never know what hit them.

Yep, It's me. Just been very busy. I volunteer to teach outdoor education classes, Hunter Safety, Trapper Safety, Bowhunter Safety, Crossbow Safety, and NRA Basic Pistol along with NRA Personal Protection In the Home. I gave an hour seminar on Skull Cleaning and Preserving at the last Trapping Rondeveous. Of Course, I hunted black bear pretty hard since August (no I didn't get one). Been Bow hunting a couple weeks and finally arrowed a small buck for the freezer on Saturday. Squeezing in some ADC trapping too. Got a trouble beaver out of way a few weeks ago. Would not go near any trap or change in the flowage. Caught him re-building the dam coming back from a bear hunt one night. Unfortunetly for him, I had my Glock 10mm with me. Still trying to get a turkey or two, not much luck there. Got a gun club meeting tonight after work. You know, come to think of it, it's been pretty slow lately...

The early fox and coyote season opens Oct 20. I may just pre bait for a week or so to let the fur prime up a bit. WAY too many yotes though, so probably I should just start hitting them hard. We'll see.

Nelson, I wish i had more time to teach like you are!
That is something i love to do.
I took two young trappers on the line with me two years ago, and both got there trapping license and are on there own doing well.
I had to get my Vt State Fur Buyers license to to help them ship there fur with out loosing money.

Well Dave, I do appreciate that you took out the two youngsters and got them started. Doing those types of things are critical to the future of trapping.
