Im from the northern most city/town in the u.s. Barrow,Ak. We have 4 large main rivers..from the foothills of the mountains to the coast where most the of the communities are on the north slope of alaska....my cabin is on one of these rivers...52miles from our town south southeast...4 and half to 5 hour ride on snowmachine hauling a sled...our country is barren tundra flat as far as you can see untill about 100 miles south of our town is the foothills of the brooks range where its very hilly steep rivers Ill be setting 330 conibear bucket sets for wolverine...and hopefully wolf if i get lucky enough and prepare my traps correctly im hoping...i trap for subsistance...im alaskan native...so we use our furs for our parkas...we prepare them our selfs ready for sewing...wolf and wolverine fur is our main ruffs on our parkas because their fur doesnt not freeze....in our extreme cold conditions..

Cool. I'm looking to book a trip to either Alaska or Canada to trap for Wolverine, Wolf and Lynx.

Looks like there isn't much action on this page. I hope to make another run up the haul road (not as far north as Barrow). I would love to see some pictures of the wolf and wolverine jackets you make!!! I love the local Alaska craftsmanship!!

Stefan, it has been a few years since Eskimo made that post or any others. Come on out to the Trap Line and Camp Fire threads and visit with us.
