checking traps tonight i had a bridger 1.75 4 coil CS trap with a pull out. it is wired to a tree.. proximity to a river and open farm land prevents a grapple drag. but i may be wrong in that thinking.

since the high temp here has been under 10 degrees the low -10 i have set a few snares . i have two on travel paths to the set i had the foot trap pull out but i also had a snare pull out... how is this possible? they do not have stop locks. it was pulled into the mini cam so tightly it kinked and it took pliers to get it undone. all it had was a little brown fur in it.

was the opening to big and his hind leg fired it and i got it's tail?

beats me.

well the snow revealed no human tracks.

the snare was under the lowest wire of an old barbed wire fence and there are no deer in the area. just small canine tracks and some birds.
the hair in the trap was soft and dark chocolate brown. the hair in the snare was differnt color and texture. longer and black

also for smitty the trap was a 1.65 my opps but i guess that was your point! i got a pic if i can figure out how to load it. ok i guess i can't
