Trick ,the grand daughter was shook up but yesterday the school decided to have school for a half a day..that seem to help..thank goodness the boy that was wounded will be ok and is in fair condition now,the details are coming out now..this is like a plot out of Hollywood...I guess the shooter, had been bullying a girl at school for about a month now at school and on social media.well the girl got tired of it and beat the crap out of the shooter.then the tables were turned and some the kids started bullying the shooter cause he got beat up by a girl..after a week of being bullied himself he decided he didn't like it and wasn't going to take it .he decided this girl was the cause of all his problems and he was going to put a end to it by killing her and the other student were making fun of him....he shot at the girl and missed and hit this other boy who was just waiting to get his lunch..the shooter had two handguns and 300 rounds on him.....a fast acting teacher tackled him and disarmed him...the shooter is fourteen years old...the shooter was in court yesterday..our **** poor states attorney decide to charge him with aggrevated battery with a fire arm instead of attempted murder.some of the parents are ready to tar and feather the states attorney....

That is un freaking believable! Another student was shot and he's only charged with aggrevated. assault. The shooter should be put away for a long time.

Not that hot here, it's been in the low 80's. A bit too warm for this time of year. It has also gotten very dry lately. It hasn't rained in over a week and no rain predicted for the next 7 days.

Have a great day everyone. :D

Dam Chief, thank God your granddaughter is safe, and nobody was killed. I long for the day we wore our hunting knives on our belts to school but settled disputes with our fists and never dreamed of pulling a knife , much less a gun. Sad times .

thanks Doc..the grand daughter was pretty shook up..but going back to school for a half a day helped her and a lot of other kids..i remember in high school during deer season us guys drove to school with our shotguns on gun racks in the back windows of our pickup trucks..my shop teacher and coach and a couple other teachers hunted...we would all meet up at school at around 10 am and see how everybodys hunt went.then go to class till 2 pm then take off and go hunt.it was just a fore gone conclusion that half the students and a quarter of the staff would be out hunting...no doctors excuse or unexcused absents ...I never felt safer at school than during deer season..in that day and age you just didn't dream anyone would come to school and shoot the place up..we settled things out behind the bleachers at the football field..if that didn't work the parents would get involved and things were settled then...its a hellave world where parents are fearful to send their child to school...

Today is supposed to be the last day in the mid to upper 80's. Calling for 60's tomorrow after the cold front goes through. Still no sign of rain though.

Have a great day everyone. :D

The cool front is just coming through now. It was 64 when I got up and is now down to 61 with a good breeze. They said little to no rain with this front but another cool front is to blow through here tomorrow which is supposed to bring a little rain.

Have a great day everyone. :D

32 degrees with a heavy frost this morning. Yesterday was the first day of archery deer season here. A steady wind of 15 MPH didn't help things yesterday although I did see 4 deer. No shooting though.

I guess we are having another warm up starting today. 80's by Tuesday they're saying.

Have a great day everyone. :D

A bit warmer this morning at 40 degrees. The plan was to go out bow hunting directly after work but since it's getting into the low 70's why bother, the deer won't be moving much.

Have a great day everyone. :D

It's a cool 48 this morning and heading for the mid 70's. Due to the lack of rain over the past month now they put us into a drought watch for the first time this year. But, they are calling for rain by the end of the week here to Chief.

Have a great day everyone. :D

A little warmer again at 50 this morning. The forecast at the beginning of the week showed rain on Thursday and Friday with temps in the low 60's. Now it showing a 20% chance of rain and temps in the low 70's. I still may get out for an afternoon hunt on Friday but I think I'll fish Saturday afternoon.

Have a great day everyone. :D
