As I've mentioned several times on WAT, my family on my dad's side has only been in the US for about 140 years, and with only 3 generations between the great-GPs and myself, I still appreciate that sense of new opporunities my people felt when they got to the prariries of South Dakota. Many of our ancestors have similar stories of leaving the home country, often forced by people who wanted to control them, many times by force, or outright kill them as seen in this story I've sent. After hearing ad nauseum for a couple weeks about the loser "immigrants" up in the Boston, I found this story very positive, an American success story if you will. This kid may go far...

(stupid browser of mu=ine this morning let me copy whole links. If this doesn't work use the key words, "argus leader" and "grateful giving back" or "argus leader" and "berberovic")

I found the story and read it in it's entirety, quite a young man and a strong Mom for a mentor. Thanks for sharing this NonPC.
