Post subject:  Bobber and Yote recipies?

Most folks think I'm crazy for some of the things I eat (even at a place like this). I have my own recipie but I am looking for something new to try. Right now I just soak in milk over night then roll in a flour mix and fry in bacon grease, which is rather tastey.

I won't kill anything that I won't eat or use in some way. Just the way I was brought up I reckon.

Thats interesting. So you eat those coyotes and bobcats? What is the recipe? Are they any good?

They're both pretty good. Bobcat is somewhat similar to pork but different. Yote has it's own tast and texture. I'm going to grill some bobber tonight from my latest catch. It's been marinating overnight in worcestershire sause with peppered seasoning. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I normally soak in milk over night then roll in a flour mix and fry in bacon grease

I think the trick is to get it off the bone and all the fat off, though I haven't tried it with either. My figuring comes from bear meat. I just cut the back loins out and part of the ham then take cut out any sinew. I guess I'm the only one who eats'em. I've posted on a couple of other sites with no responses so I reckon I'm a modern day pioneer ;)

I've always heard that coyotes smell bad. If they smell like that fox I caught a few months ago, I couldnt imagine what they would taste like.

I have eaten lynx and if bobkitty is half as good you would love it, but I got to draw the line at coyote they are on the same list as crow and magpie, but hay there is lots of stuff I eat that others wouldn't so each to thier own.

The last time I skinned a bobcat, I took the carcass to the burn pit where we burned our trash I threw it on an old piece of metal next to the already burning fire. The meat turned white like chicken or pork. Ever since then I have wanted to get another one and try to eat it. Bobcat, the other other white meat.
