C'mon Swamp Rat . . . its only a couple states away. Just hop a plane and fly out. :D

This is a great event. We have a guy with a big grill on wheels and he pulls up and just starts cooking. Food is nonstop.

Then we have some REAL experts give demos. Bill Ilchik (author of Wildwest Bobcats) usually does a cat catching demo. We have a government trapper showing how to catch difficult coyotes. Skinning, fur put up, canine sets, trap fastening and equipment . . . the list goes on.

Every kid that comes gets a free trap and if he/she brings a friend, we usually give him or her an extra free trap because they brought a buddy. TONS of free prizes, not the useless trinket stuff . . . I mean real prizes like a copy of Steve Woods' new BobCATCHing 3 DVD; Mercer Lawing's new Bobcat put-up DVD, knives, lure, bait, traps, books, etc. etc. To paraphrase a popular beer commercial, "This ain't no downstream" event.

That is some heavy advertising you are tempting me with Cameron! It should be fun for everyone who is able to attend.

About 10 miles northwest out of Vegas on US 95, take the Kyle Canyon turn off (State Highway 157). Go 14 miles west until you see the Heliport sign on the south side of the road. Turn left at the sign and go about 300 yards and you're there.

If my muzzleloader hunt goes good I will be there, heck even if it doesn't maybe I'll still be there. I told the kids about it and there already excited.

It would be great if we could plan one of these for Northern Nevada sometime!

Desperado, you can "plan one" for Northern Nevada, that doesn't mean it will happen. Heck, I "planned" on growing up to being a Mountain Man and hooking up with an Indian woman and live off the land.......and my second choice was to become a cowboy, then I realized I wasn't good with horses. Thinking about something is the first step to getting it done---go for it and make it happen. That is how the WAT Rendezvous in Kansas came to being.

I would really like to see that happen as well. I have tried to get someone in Northern Nevada to put one on, but so far no luck. Why don't you come to this one and see what we do, then you can help with one in Northern Nevada?
