I know in Manitoba in the south where you can buy an open licence that you can trap where ever you get permission. In the north it's all registerd traplines that only the holder of that line can trap. You can get permission though to be a helper on anyline in the north. The north is all crown land while in the south it is mostly private.

I know in the southern fur block anyone can trap with permission. In the north only if it is in your fur block, and the only way to get a block is to be voted in and that is impossible unless your born into it . I think there is the helper thing also.
