also how much co2 does it take per critter? i got a old c02 tank from a beer tap i could use,but need to know how to regulate it per use.

You can make one easy enough. They are expensive to buy.

Build a wooden box slightly bigger than your cage trap, it has to fit all the way inside. Make it with no top. Get a piece of plexy glass big enought to fit over your woden box. The seams on the wooden box have to be sealed. The top plexy glass just has to sit on top without any big gaps. Drill a small hole in the wooden box and put your hose there, sealed around the hole. Fill the box slowly, about 1/4 volume per minute. The gas will fill the bottom first and start coming out the top, you may want to put a small hole in the plexy glass to let it out better. co2 in the bottom, air out the top. You can watch the animal through the plexy so you know when you are done.
