I posted this question a while back............................the area I will start trapping in starting in January is really rocky. No way to put in a steel rod or an earth anchor. Difficult to put in a dirt hole unless you can live with one about 4-6inches deep. I like dirt holes give a good sight attraction. I guess I will have to learn how to do more flat sets or trash mound sets. Any advice would be appreciated. ...........................

Im going to use 3/32 cable looped on the end so I can attach it to a strong sage bush or maybe a drag as there is a lot of brush in the area its just that the more I have to carry the heavier my pack will be. Its about a three mile walk to the upper end, so that's a six mile walk back and forth. Up hill in and down hill back.
Im considering using a long snare as they would tighten down on the base of a Sage bush and would not loosen up. Im kind of limited in that area.

and help I would appreciate
