Staying pretty busy getting things ready for my trip. Its almost unbelievable that its this close. I had to go buy some boots and other "safari apparel" since camo doest actually do a lot of good in that kind of terrain. I some parts of africa it is illegal to wear como at all because its reserved for the military only. Not the part im going though, but still khaki color clothes are "camo" over there. I have already started packing my bag :D

Did some more practice shooting yesterday. Shot 30 rounds at 80 yards and they all grouped pretty well. All in an area smaller than a paper plate. I think i should do just fine in Africa. Getting ready for a fish fry today.

Im using their guns so we dont have to deal with getting ours through the airport. My dad had a lot of trouble when he went a few years ago. They use high dollar guns and scopes though so i can at least ensure the gun will be on. It will just come down to me lol

3 Days!!! Don't forget us while you are over there LIVING THE DREAM! Do try and get a bunch of pictures and keep a journal so you will remember the sequence of the whole Safari. I for one, look forward to hearing all about it. You are one Lucky Young Man!

Had our big fish fry yesterday. Nothing like fried blue cats :D My dad's friend thats going with us to Africa has been keeping in touch with the PH and good news as far as weather over there. Its just going to be odd going form weather in the high 90s to mid 30s in the morning and at night over there. During the day it will be in the 60s though. I will still need a jacket lol.

I may have missed it an earlier post, but would you mind posting the location you are going in Africa or maybe a website of the Safari Group?

We are supposed to be able to see some trapping videos from over there. My dads friend said last year he actually got to see a trapped bat-eared fox. If i ever get to go back i would really like to do some trapping. Im definately going to ask about their trapping laws.

I cant wait. I got my bag sitting by the door and i am planning on staying up all night so i will be able to sleep on the plane.

Don't forget your "ear-buds" and put them in your pocket so you'll have them on the plane. Have a great flight and soak it all in. You may become the next Earnest Hemmingway.
