I am new to trapping. Been at it a whole month. I am in Oklahoma.
Why die your traps?
My traps are just as I bought them other than some rust.

I have 6 leg traps and 1 cage trap.

So far I have caught
7 Coons
1 pull-out, suspect coon
2 Opossums
2 non targets
1 Bobcat

All in 3 weeks time. Is this a good average? Using cut up roosters and pigeons and some Sardines. Still trying to catch a Coyote.
Thanks

dyeing and waxing traps help prevent rust and helps in odor control.waxing a trap also makes it a bit faster. people have been dyeing and waxing traps since the very beginning of trapping and i all ways say if it isnt broke dont fix it.
