duke 160 when sprungs are sprung and relaxed twards the center on new ones when pulling them out in line to set they have come off the jaws for me on 4 of 12 new traps . I heated some of the eyes and bent them tighter. otherwise there good traps I caught a 45lb coon in one on a blind trail set. in minnesota you can only put a 220 three feet form the opening of a culvert a 160 you can have it in the culvert. the coon was caught between the rr tracks and highway but might be concidered a culvert as it was concrete and open from above sort of channeling water through the culverts of both rr and hwy. that is actually the reason I baught that type of trap so I could put a trap there.

The duke 110's had fairly open eyes. I did weld them shut. I was worried at first that it would weaken the springs, but so far, no ill effects. It's not something I would recommend doing at this point as it's only been one season since welding. Ask me about it in a couple ofyears if they're still holding ok.
