I was in some new land this year. Tried to do everything I was taught and all the sets seemed like goodins. I don't believe there is anyone else trapping the area cause the old farmer didn;t think anyone did that any more.Anyways the traps have been out 10 days and have had no visiting except for some mice and #$&^%#!@ Ravens.
I think I will move on pull up and comeback after the rain and maybe when it snows to do a little tracking? What would you do? If I am careful and clean do you think I need to reboil ? :?:

Its like the area is DEAD. :( The area is brushy with a well groomed field and the rest were real high oats stubbles, not harvested very well, ( I thought good mice feeding ) with clearcut all around it. All the fields are outback from human habitat.
Sign was impossible to read anywhere because of so much rain. The farmer said there where alot of fox back there.
I didn;t even get a visit from a possum. Deer are plentlyful though,I will go back after deer season when there is a little snow to track

Yeah, I didn't get any preseason scouting done on this tract at all. It sorta was offered to me to come trap. I took great care when pulling the traps. There where only a few but boiling just a few is a pain, so I will reuse them -maybe in a coon set. TY,Craft
