I actually read that this past weekend while checking my NAFA account Wolf.

Any kind of premature optimism usually spells doom for the market. I remember reading the fur market report in Fur-Fish-Game in the summer of 1997 and they talked about a high demand for raccoon and some nice advances for those pelts will be seen the coming season. Well, trappers read that and went after coon hard. The result, raccoons averaged around $15.00 in mid November fell to about a $6.00 at the February local trapper sales. I hope NAFA's small optimistic outlook doesn't result in another glut of fur......

I don't think so Rick. The writing is on the wall, PRIME fur only has a chance for good prices. That they have said. Send crap fur then it will sit till they sell for pennies just like the coon did. Their are only limited species that will fare well this year. So read what they say and take to heart. Those that don't will be very disappointed.
