I'm retired and have never trapped before. I have 2 peach trees that the squirrels keep stripping of fruit. I just purchased 6 conibear traps, size 110, as was suggested by someone. waiting for them to rust up some, then do the logwood dye thing. my question is that the previous owner of my home left a bunch of leg traps and don't know what they can be used for, there are two sizes. i assume its the number stamped in center of trigger thing, some say number 0, and the others have a #1 stamped in. I have also washed and rinsed these, and are outside, so i can treat along with the conibears.

#0- Rats, weasel, squirrel, rabbit, and like sized animals.

#1- the same, plus muskrats. If springs are strong opossum, and skunk can be add too.

Yes boil dye them. You can wax the footholds.
