It is just me or are the fox prices low????? I didn't pay much attention to coyotes but they seemed to do ok.
I know the market is down but apparently it is down alot for fox also? Should I expect that much disappointment for all of my furs at the next auction also which is where all of my furs will be sold?
Or perhaps I have just misunderstood the auction so far?

Hard to believe that the fur market gone down that fast in just 2 years. Well, when dealing with any kind of a market, that's what to expect. No demand means very low prices.

The guys over on the Scrap Metal Forum are moaning about the drop in prices the last couple of months as well. Low oil prices means everything else is lower as well, not as much need for scrap.

Russia's economic woes are probably a bigger problem for trappers but both scrap and fur need China to be hungry and its economy is slipping as well. The global economy is slowing. We've been doing "better" than most for the last couple of quarters. But no matter how much the Prez crows, the US will be caught up in the slump as well. Yeah, we do it for the fun

Well look at the bright side. At least we can wear the fur if it doesn't sell. Sure hate to have to make a coat out of scrap iron.

Those western heavy coyote went for big bucks! Man, TT and Donny has been racking up a bunch of those Alberta coyote. Might be a good year for you guys.
