Today was the day. -28 this morning when we left to go pull. Mild Christmas it was with temps around the 32f mark. Broke up the winter for sure. But we are back to the normal temps now. Only had one wolf set with 12 snares and 2 otter sets. I wish I could have kept that wolf site going. Plenty of wolf sign still but accessibility is now a big problem. 30 mile round trip from the highway is not worth it. Todays pics.

another otter in the set I caught 2 at last time

If you look to the top center of the pic you will see the other wolf

one female and 2 pups at the same set

Now have to put the tracks on the bike for ice fishing. :--D

That was a heck of a catch of wolves! Nice way to end a season. Good on the otter too.

Great season wolf and thanks for taking us along with you. I love your pics and tales from the line. Question, do you end now solely due to problems accessing the lines due to snow? Or is it management related? Thx

Thanks for the pictures of your line. Just wondering, how many beavers do you normally catch a season? Do you ever set for spring beavers? Love the pictures of the wolves!!!

80 to 100 beaver we try for. If we can get that amount it will be 75% of quota. This year we are short so far with 69. No we never set up for spring beaver as there is very little open water around when the season draws to a close. Go through the ice is the only option now.
