Summer is winding down, how prepared is everyone? Traps dyed/waxed or dipped? Property scouted? Permission secured? Trapping season will be on us before you know it. Everyone got their gear in order yet?

Foot holds need to be dyed and waxed. Bodygrips have been painted. Land is exclusively public more than enough for the 50 plus traps I will run even with jumping locations 2 or 3 times. My next big hurdle is bait I need fresh meat for fisher and some blue gills for coon. Already scouted two or three spots with my trail cam.

This summer has been unusually cool. With this past week mainly staying in the low 70's has been getting me in the mood for the upcoming season . I have all of my traps boiled and tuned. Last night I started the waxing of the footholds. I have most of them finished, the final dozen will get finished today. Tomorrow, I'll spray paint my 110's with brown and flat black rustproof paint and I'll be ready to go! :D

Did my scouting already for rats. Have to make snares and get permission to trap some coyotes. I did some trap mods today and they will be painted before next week.
