actually drew some good tags this year.

I drew, 2 fisher and 1 otter tag.

wife drew, 2 fisher and 1 otter tag.

dad drew 2 fisher, 1 otter, and 1 cat tag.

Really starting to get the itch now. WTA

How did you find out? I went to the DNR license center and all it said was "Drawing Results Available 09/15/2006". Nothing else. :?

Yes, in Wisconsin there are three furbearing critters that are on a "tag" system-- otters, fisher and bobcat. These animals are managed by the state to keep their population levels consistent. When you apply for a permit you get a preference point, when you have enough points you get a tag. Otter and fisher tags are not TOO hard to come by, I can usually count on one at least every other year or so. I'll only receive a bobcat tag every three or four years. Bobcat tags are good for either trapping or hunting, fisher and otter can only be trapped.

Maine is almost the same as Kansas. No limits--well, one exception--25 martin tags per trapper. Otherwise, no limits and no tags.
