FISHING ON THE PLAINS
Cant say im too impressed with fishing ditches and buffalo wallows. The photo of the drainage pipe fishing hole is where previously water was gushing and fish were plentiful. The first time we fished there i had caught three fish before bf even got his line in the water. Yep thats my kind of fishing. That day we caught several cats and some sort of preditor fish with teeth. And one large cat. When we recently fished there i got skunked and bf caught one small cat and some sort of sunfish. Neither worth keeping.
The other photo is of a small lake near us where in the past ive caught enough pan size trout for a meal along with several small cats. the other day when we went there we both got skunked. If i dont at least get a tug on my worm in the first half hour im ready to leave. I sure miss the clear streams of oregon and penna. I love fishing them for pan size trout with my ultra light pole.
