Seeing as you asked, I have no idea what will happen there. I do know you'd be safe from me.

I can see both sides of this . Personally , I don't want anyone to know I'm packin. Because if something bad does go down, I may have the element of surprise on my side .
On the other hand, if the gun is out there , and they can see it up front, unless they are on drugs or have superior firepower, you will probably have the road to yourself.

One other point though, might attract undue attention from LEO's .

I agree with doc, I can open carry here in Texas but I still don't like doing so. I continue to carry concealed. I think you will be ok in Utah and maybe Colorado. Just do a search online and you should find out what you need to know.

Oregon is considered an “open carry” state, which means that it is generally legal for an adult to openly carry a firearm without a permit.

Looks like you might be in the clear, if you avoid Utah and go through Wyoming.

Yes it is a two edged sword. I guess i have to decide
Who im more fearful of.... Criminals, or criminal cops. As in
Hillary bootlicking, anti constitutional, redbull swigging,
Armpit sniffing, traitors.
I have two factors working against me from the get go.
ONE- im running colorado plates which automatically
Profiles me as a potential weed runner. Just ask my son
Whose finishing a stint in the harford detention center
In baltimore! I asked him "why not north idaho?"
Its been stressful to say the least.
TWO- my. 45 baby desert eagle was stolen from me
In fla. In 2004 and drew blood when the perp accidentally
Shot his brother in the upper torso when he was trying
To remove the numbers with a swiss army knife. The kid
Survived.. And thanks to the port ste. Lucie/ Fort pierce judicial system
I did get "baby" back. Had it all legally documented. But
In traffic stops all that shows up.
I always carry when traveling in an auto.
So of course i appreciate all your input.
Looks like utah allows open carry as long as there are two
Steps to fire the gun. Still, im sure my BDE in my thigh holster might frighten some
Bleeding heart liberal to use their cell to report this gun toting 2nd ammendment supporter. Bangbangbaby! Lol

Msg, we went camping last weekend, stopped at a Hardees on the way home, my buddy left his dog in the truck, windows down 4 inches, bowl of water, done it a hundred times, this dog is treated like family. I walk out ahead of everyone else to have a smoke, cops pull up to my buddy's truck. I keep walking. Cop looks in the truck, sees me coming, asks if it is my truck. I say it belongs to my buddy. He says we got a call a dog is locked inside, with the windows barely down, but I can't see a dog. I said well he better be in there. He asks if the door is unlocked, I say I have no idea, he tries the handle and opens the door, the dog jumps off the floorboard wagging his tail, thank God, cause he sometimes ain't so friendly with strangers. The cop looks at him, says well he looks fine to me, but we have to answer every call. He thanks me, I thank him, turn around, and his partner in the passenger seat has an AR locked and loaded and looking at me like I just bich-slapped his mother. Point is, better to not draw attention, and yes, every bleeding heart idiot with a cell phone can wreck your day real fast.
