Last night has been the coldest day so far this year. Up until yesterday temps have been really nice. -15 to -18 over night and warming up to -6 to -12 in day time. -32 this morning and the cold front will be with us for next week.

Animals gotta eat in the cold so trapping is good. Staying inside because of a little chill in the air would be silly. Got the boys up and at it at 7am and cut two big loads of firewood out in the bush. They never mentioned cold once.

:--o no we still trap, but the only thing I have out is wolf snares. Some of the other trappers are still chasing marten.

Amak that was in C. which converted =-25.6 F. When we hit -40 C is the same as -40 F. Then for every degree after that Celsius increases almost double over Fahrenheit. example -45 C is almost -50 F.

TT when your working hard you don't seem to notice the cold and even sweat. But stop for awhile. Bet the boys had thier jackets off before you were done.

Splitting green wood is easier at minus 35. Folks who live in the cold learn how to deal with it, guys who live in the heat just sweat.

Thats the truth TT. In dealing with cold, A fellow can dress warm with fur, and learn to deal with, like you said. You can only take so many clothes off in the heat. Jack and crap you can do with it. Most people just sit around and hibernate in the air conditioning and do little of nothing.

Today now is the coldest. Hit just over the -40 with the wind. Had some friends in Turtle Lake WI yesterday say that they were expecting -40 with wind as well. KD must be getting the same. Going through the firewood now.

Yep. I had -24F this morning with the wind in addition to that. As good a day as any to catch up on paperwork.

If only it were that cold here we would still have roosters. Now all we have are frozen ones that we sell to farmers to put on top of thier barns to blow in the wind. :--o
