I just got my latest issue of Fur Fish Game and on the news & notes page in big headlines I read; Minnesota planning 2012 wolf hunting trapping seasons! This is what I found online.

That's gotta make you happy! :D (If it actually happens after the A-R gets hold of this news)

rick, i have been following the saga for a while now and i have to say i'm impressed with the dnr's plan. i figured they would screw it up as much as possible, but it looks like they are actually trying to begin rudimentary management of the species. my understanding is that they did not want to go crazy on the number of wolf tags because they dont want another lawsuit to put the season on hold. i think that they will be sorely disappointed at the number of actual wolves that will be tagged. they are smart critters (not the dnr!).

It sounds like they are moving in the right direction.
In Idaho, last year, we did not meet our management goals thru hunting.
This year trapping was opened. Last I checked, only 19 have come out of the panhandle.
