My wife and I took the day off on Friday and took the kids to see Penns Cave and wildlife park. This place is located about 30 miles east of State College, PA, dead center of the state. Here are some pics.

Here are my kids Breanna and Erik panning for gems.

This is the cave entry way. The tour is done by boat

Big bull elk and large whitetail buck taking a rest behind the fence.

Finally, this is what I want to catch this year!

I would love to see that cat in my fur shed! :D I think the cave police would have beat me down if I tried to climb on the sluice.

men,i am telling you, that whitetail buck is going to be an awesome non-typical when that velvet comes off,,,that would be my buck of a lifetime. the bull is nice and symetrical for a five point,,like to see him on the hills in two or three years. looks fat and sassy ,wish i had enough land to run a herd [ small one ] of elk. or maybe those red deer from new zealand.

I remember hanging out in Delaney's Cave near Uniontown back around 1960 for a few days with a friend after my Dad dropped us off. I was back there around 1992; and, it's not close to the original. A real shame.
