Are you getting ready for moose season yet? It's about time to see you all get out the heavy equipment and haul them out of the quagmire.

Well I didnt get a moose permit this year, it is a lottery. Most people never get one in their life. But I did go on one last year, my boyfriend got a bull permit and I was his sub permittee so I got to shoot as well, I posted pics on here of it quite awhile ago. ... The skunks in the pics weren't spraying yet. Yea, I really like those pics, I think the skunks are wicked cute. I really want to deskunk one someday and keep it as a pet. We were just re-locating the skunks and my boyfriend decided to try picking them up. They didn't seem to mind, when set them down, they stayed right near us just playing. I have videos of them playing. :D

   I am still chuckling at the incident a few weeks ago!

Yeah Lish, I remember the pics you posted back then, looked like a pretty labor intensive hunt but fun none the less. Shame you didn't get the opportunity this year. Better luck next year.

Wrong BWM, I can't speak for other folk's baby skunks, but the ones here in east Texas can! :--o I had four of the little darlings for some time and they were very apt at spraying. Never had one spray when I had their feet off the ground.

BWM, I also disagree with you. If their eyes are open and they are mobile, they can and will spray. I have been sprayed a couple of times in my youth by baby stinkers. Having said that, I have no idea if they are armed when they are first born. :? I have never seen or handled one that was not mobile and still had its eye closed. Those in the pic look about the age of some that sprayed me, my dog and my mother when I was about 10-12 years old.

I always thought they could spray at about any age? I seen a buddy get sprayed by an adult with its back feet off the ground but after asking around I guess its very rare? From experience 3 or 4 month olds can as we've removed them from crawlspaces etc that had or did spray.

It's a 98 Triple 700 luxury Grand Touring SE. Weighs over 800 pounds, sucks to get stuck and with the 3 feet of snow right now it happens often. But goes great usually. Oh and TrapperAl the skunks were very much alive.
