the cownose rays will swim just below the surface but the big southern rays swim on the bottom. We hunt them in 1-4 feet of water.

 Is this a TRICK QUESTION??? I haven't a clue what I will do with them, but I never know when I start on making a project. I am putting the finishing touches on a "peace" pipe now that is made from two (Kansas) turkey wing bones and an antler tine off a west Texas whitetail deer.

I am going to add some fur to where the joint is (which is bound with West Virginia deer sinew) The feathers are also from Kansas. I will try to remember to post a picture of the finished product.

My grandson gave me a very large common turtle shell and I am trying to decide what I'll do with it. Black Dog, I just take stuff and make things....it keeps me off the streets and out of trouble (thus far).

Black Dog, he really uses the stingray stingers to pick his teeth. :--? You know those Texans have wide gaps between what teeth they still have left. :P His wife makes him do Crafts, like he said to keep him from wandering the streets and playing on the railroad tracks. :--o :P He does make some neat stuff though, I received a pacakge from him yesterday with a fly swatter made from a buffalo tail (I think) :P :P :P

Fishstick... hit me with that info too. I'm headed to the OBX in August... might be fun to try.

yes the wing meat is excellent....its actually used in some restaurants to replace scallops...very hard to tell the difference in the taste....its good fried, grilled, or smoked.
