Hello Trappinwoman. First catch? I'm jealous, I't took me two years to catch my first fox. Way to go :!:

yeah I was on my way home from work and saw that I had a catch and the only thing I had in my truck was a four way. So I had to use what I had. lol. But yeah thanks. I have to say I couldn't have been more happier. I have a few other trapping pictures to add to my photobucket but haven't had time. I love the outdoors like fishing, hunting, and trapping. This site is pretty nice. Thanks guys.

Yeah I go on T-man.

so what got you into trapping I try to get my daughter involved. I also use the fact that other women trap too . To make it so she does not feel like an outsider as there are few women that do . You are actually one that I showed her on t-man to get her riled up a bit. Thanks bunches

I was born to trap. I love the outdoors, I started off fishing and hunting. When I had the chance to trap I took it and I love it. The guy ended up cheating on me and I kept on trapping, I don't need someone to hold my hand to trap. I am really happy that your daughter has an interest in trapping, more power to her! I really hope she likes it and joins in. There are women out there that are into trapping very far and in between (never met one myself), it's just hard to find them and when you do they don't usually fit the "profile" as I am told. But I turn around and tell people you don't have to look like a man to get your hands dirty. It is hard to not feel like an outsider but the thing is if you get her on a site like this one she will not feel like an outsider, atleast that is how I feel. People are really supportive and willing to help, it's a boost when you feel like an outsider. I don't know anyone personally that traps and some of my friends don't like it. But if anything you can have her write me and if she has any questions feel free to PM me. By the way how old is she? Just curious. Thanks and no problem feel free to ask questions. Sorry everyone I wrote so much.

I would rather use that kind of dispatch method than a gun because it doesn't leave a hole. I trap in town for ADC reasons and have to use one.

Kentwood, eh ? You are not too far away. I'm somewhat familiar with the Grand Rapids area. Worked around there for 3 weeks back in 2002 and have fished the Grand River several times. You should have some good water trapping in you area as well as good locations for land trapping. I hope you like Michigan as much as I do. I try to go up in the Wellston and Baldwin areas to trout fish 2 or 3 times every year. ( Pine, Pere Marquette, and Manistee Rivers ). Hope you can make it to the NTA convention in Goshen, IN in this summer ( Aug. 2-6 ).
Welcome to the site !

I am hoping to go to the NTA this year but I need to find a way to get there. I like Michigan so far, pretty nice. I have already found a few spots for next year to trap. Not many but it is better than none. :D

man, a first catch being a fox is something to be proud of. Mine was a coon. Congratulations.
