This one weighed just over 8 pounds, it was like the size of a small beaver.

An 8 lb. MUSKRAT!!?? What do you folks have in the water up there?? Steroids?? WoW!! I've never seen one over 3 1/2 pounds. I would send that pix into Fur,Fish&Game. They might just publish it. I remember seeing a "giant" mink pictured there that weight either 8 or 11 lbs. An 8 lb. rat is defientely a show stopper!!! :)

Yea its a big one! Biggest one my boyfriend and I've ever seen. Kinda unbelievable but thats how big it was. :)

Wow that is a huge rat! Congrats on the catches. I have problems catching any rats here, much less any as big as that.

I have to admit, I've never came across an 8 pound rat. It should make for a big payout at the fur dealer! :D
