A rebate offered with the purchase of assorted PEAK Performance Products will credit buyers $1 to $2 per gallon of product. A section on the rebate form allows consumers to donate their rebate to the American Humane Association (AHA). The AHA opposes all hunting and trapping. This year, it demonstrated its opposition to outdoor sports by supporting federal legislation, HR 1472, to ban bear hunting over bait. It called the practice "unsporting, unethical, and barbaric." It also supports Congressional legislation, HB 1800, to ban trapping. Take Action! Sportsmen should contact Old World Industries, Inc., the company that produces PEAK and SIERRA antifreezes. Tell the company that its promotion of the AHA, an anti-hunting organization, is unacceptable to sportsmen across the nation and should be stopped immediately. Make sure Old World Industries knows that the AHA has an agenda to end America's outdoor heritage, thus destroying over 100 years of wildlife conservation practices. Send your comments to Mr. James Bryan, President, Old World Industries, Inc., 4065 Commercial Ave., Northbrook, IL 60062. Phone: (847) 559-2000. Toll Free (800) 323-5440. Fax (847) 559-2266. Keep in mind that the best way to make an impression is to send messages using telephone or fax machine. Phones ringing off the hook and busy fax machines make poignant statements.
