Just wanted to let you all know that I didn't fall off the face of the earth. Summer has been a really busy one for us, more so than usual. I finished one remodeling project, am elbow deep in another, and am also constructing an attached outbuilding. About a month ago, I took the plunge and bought a 2014 Arctic Cat Prowler 550XT and I have determined that trapping will be better than ever. I am fortunate enough to live in the middle of a massive system of trails, that I have been mapping on my GPS. I have found several complete circuits that can be run from my front door! I have also wrapped up a boatload of smaller projects and repair jobs that have gone by the wayside the past couple years. I hope all has been well for everyone and I am looking forward to another safe and successful trapping season.

Glad you have most of your ducks in a row and could come back to WAT. Enjoy your new trap line ride.

Good to see you still cooking. You have been busy this year. Good to see you have a sled now to expand your trapping grounds. Trapping road side is good but there is lots of competition. Your move to a sled will take you were many do not want to go. Good luck

Maybe we'll watch vids of TRapper Al on his snomobile instead of "Marty" on Mountain Men (my youngest kid likes watching that show). Every time I see Marty's exposed long-spring leghold laying in front of his martin bait I think how many more he could take if he did it as effectively as wolf and fuzz (RIP) did with their bodygrippers in a martin box. Then again, if he's flying everything in, he saves weight on not bringing the cubbie boxes. But how did he fly in the snomachine he's on in recent episodes to his extremely remote place?? Helio it in before he arrived with pre-positioned gear??

Most of those reality shows are not real at all. I watched one episode of " Appalachian " something or other, can't remember the name. Set here in West Virginia. The guy shot something at night, it was pitch dark, he comes back holding a grey squirrel in advanced stage of rigor mortis. Can't believe people watch those shows and believe that dumb crap.
