Had a ferel cat job close to home last week. Caught a bunch of them under an older couples double wide.
He was a disabled vet, lung removed from cancer from agent orange exposure in Vietnam.
Poor old fellow had to run inside to hook up to his oxygen.
I caught their ferel cats in a few days, but spent most of my time just visiting with him and his wife. He was full of stories which I enjoyed hearing.
Got an offer on catching wild hogs and pigs about 2 miles from my own home, but they don't want to pay anyone for catching them, just want to give them to me for pay. I politely told them I don't want them, but I might come out and just do it for fun and experience. I ordered a portable hog trap from HotWoods.com and it looks to be a well built and highly recommended trap.
It breaks down in 5 sections and can be installed by one person and transported in my pickup truck.
We'll see. Also still waiting on the Gulf of Mexico oil slick to ruin our white sand beaches.
That will really be terrible for our economy in this area. Not to mention the fishing industry who is already suffering.
Wish us luck on that one.

I'm glad they have extended the moratorium on drilling on Georges Bank between us and Maine. We don't need any mishaps like that here or anywhere else for that matter. Hope they soon get that well capped.

I was shocked that it got so out of hand, I work in the oil patch here and they have proseadures for every dam thing. We have all sorts of safty nets in place so I thought on an off shore rig it would be 10x what they use on land. when ever a rig has a blow out here it sure dosnt get to burn or spill for a month, same with pipeline breaks. Very sad that they wernt ready for an acsedint like this. I feal for you fellas that live in that area, and will have to deal with this mess.

Good luck on the pigs, they are good fun to trap. Good eating too.

TJ, How about posting some photos of the trap as you assemble it. Is there a website for this brand of hog traps?

Try this link. They sell all kinds of hog gates and traps.

I'll take some pics as I put it together and post them. It is supposed to be simple to put together.
I should get it by the end of this week. I think it will work fine and I like the portability of it.
