Just sound like a prey animal in serious distress. Imagine you are a rabbit being tore half, scream like your life is at stake at the high and low end of the pitch. There's no way to do it wrong. Just pay attention to what's going on around you during the duration. I've been caught many times being caught watched while calling. It usually ends up in a coyote getting away.

i have most of the primos calls hot dog, desert howler,ky yi,talley ho!,and two or three more
the problem with the ki yi is the reed its really small so u have to take the mouthpiece off then bite your tooth on the tip of it then blow the mouth piece is no good for anything!
the hot dog is another story !! you have to bite on the tip of the reed to gett a good sound start at about 1 cm into the tip of the reed then work your way out when your howling
it will sound very smooth but really shrill and a piercing sound :?
thats good it may sound a little wierd to you but if you hear the eco you will notice it sound diferent. :)
personally i dont use the ki yi for anything i only use the mouthpiece of my red desert howler or the hot dog to make my ki yi's
to do so you need to disconnect the mouthpiece and cover the end of it with your hand/hands and go to the very very tip of your reads and try to sound like a dog wining
use this link to hear it

for animal distress sounds i use the tally ho! but its pretty dificult to do
u need to use youre eyetooth and use a lot of hand motion just get a three in one circle call it works very well and very easy to use :) :D
