i have a mini ranch 14 and was wanting to get a scope i wanted to try and keep the price down below $300. any suggestions?

i would go for a 4-12 power leupold rifleman. That would put you at around $250.

I have a Simmons Whitetail Classic that I got off Ebay for $100. It's got 30 or 40 coyotes to its credit and the only time the zero was off was when I fell against a gumbo hill with the rifle on my back. The cross hairs are a little thick for long distance, but that's my only complaint.
