Prairie dog

Alligator snapper
Snakes

Hello Doc,
I am a new member here.My name is Vince Spradley and I am from South Mississippi.Your post caught my attention because of two reasons: one is because I am in a place where I have access to harvest Alligator snappers[LOGGERHEADS],the other reason is that I recently passed through your beautiful state on my way to and from PA..First off let me say that you live in a place like no other I have ever been. The West Virginia countryside is a thing which can not be described to a Mississippian in a believable way to any person who has not visited your state.Secondly ,I can get you a big loggerhead skull if you are still Interested.I only have 1 at this moment and it is from my biggest turtle to date.I am rather partial to this skull because it is my biggest. The turtle it came off of weighed 107lbs!I could be moved to part with this one, or catch you another if you are interested.

Thanks for the offer copperhead. I am interested in an alligator snapper skull. First thing though, check your game laws to be sure it is legal to sell/ trade them. All states have different laws when it comes to dealing with animal parts. Don't want you to get in trouble. If it's legal, let me know what you want for it. Thanks, Doc.

Not sure about import laws blackdog, I'll have to check on that. Can't be too strict, especially if it comes through our southern border.

Blackdog, I couldn't find any laws banning the importation of skulls into the US, unless it is a threatened or endangered species, in which case you need a CITES permit. I did find where knives can't be shipped to Australia. That would suck.

I have a nice dog soaking for you atm. Not sure how long.

I was going to say I'll just send it and if its not allowed they will send it back or dispose of it anyway. No great stress.

Pm you when its done.

Could maybe get you a ferret too, just got to remember where I buried it :(

Just certain knives are prohibited from being imported, flick knives, hidden blade the ones deemed "more dangerous" than other knives. Pretty sure hunting/butchering ones are ok... got me curious now I'll find out. Am sure a mate bought one.

Been trying to get a ferret . That would be great. Good to hear hunting knives aren't banned. I just happen to know a guy who makes knives and might send one that way.
