I was wondering what sone suggestions on Coyote gun were that were legal for Iowa

223's are great.same with 220 swift(thats the reach out and smack ya silly gun) and for your longer range kind of gun a 243 would fit the bill nicely

Ihunt with the .223, 22-250, 22hornet, and the .17 Rem. I am very fond of the 22-250 for coyotes.

well i ended up getting a Mini Ranch 14 i decided it was a good choice price wise atleast. anyone tried these out??

You can figure at least $500 for a new one. Being the speed freak that I am, I think the Swift is the way to go, but a 22-250, 223,or 204 or even a 17 for that matter (I've seen one in action) will get the job done nicely for the same price or less if you consider in price of ammo or even reloading.
