Folks,
Does anyonr know of a way to modify cage traps to make the back end have a sliding gate? I want to get an easier way of releasing the critters from my current traps. Any recommendations would be really helpful.

Beaverinbob,

SLIDING NO! requires welding or sheet metal brake.

a drop gate door yes!

i cut out the back of the trap but leave 1" of wire on all edges.
then cut a full pc. of cage wire for the whole back.
i then attach #9 wire all the way around the new cage wire, then attach to cage with hog rings. some i have made to open into the trap others made to open out of the trap. works good.
hope this helps.
dale
