well it snowed last night and I have tried to catch a beaver for 3 weeks now its main run is so hard to get to . I would have had to get a wet suite to set it but the snow helped. The beaver had pushed it over 5 times pushed mud up to it tripped it atleast 5 more times. snow on top of the water must have made it hard to see (slush) and there he was , I have put 4 other traps in the area from his scent pile to a feeder area. I would have caught it eventually but I think the weather was the break I needed. now I can concentrate on some of the other trap wise ones as I am the third person to trap the area. either they didn't do very well or there was a whole lot of beaver in this area. I have another one that I just pulled my trap but will go after it now that 5 traps are freed up gonna try a #4 leg hold on this one had 330 in its run and every day it was sprung or pushed over need to wait till water goes down first I will get him as he is the prey .

so when does trapping start again?
