I'v put coon's in wire cage's for over 30 years and never have been bit.I'v used the hog catcher for a longer period of time and I catch all my coon's my the neck .once I get a grip I'v never had one get loose..or bite me... :wink:but what ever work's best ,I will be giving the barrel a try...most time I dont even need the hog catcher
