Still mowing grass over here. :( I think yesterday was the 50th time this year. Now I need to put fertilizer on my lawn to winterize it and have good grass to mow early next year.

I had the tractor out to pick up the last of the leaves that have fallen in the yard and then ended up mowing the grass also. It really didn't need it in some areas but is sure growing well on top of the septic leach bed.

A much warmer 50 degrees early this morning heading to the mid 70's. This has got to be the warmest October we've ever had. In years past, we've seen snow by this time already.

TGIF everyone. :D

Leaves have started to fall, but have a long way to go before they are all down. Probably less than 5% have fallen, so far. Cut the lawn last week and hope it is the last time till spring.

Heading out with the muzzleloader this morning trying to get some meat for the freezer. It's the last day of muzzleloader deer season but archery season will continue on for the next 3 weeks.

Pretty cool this morning at 40 degrees but it is supposed to get into the 70's again.

Have a great day everyone. :D

The cold front went through, we didn't get nearly the amount of rain that they were calling for but the temperature is dropping. It went from 55 to 51 within 20 minutes this morning.

Have a great day everyone. :D

A guy that I work with goes to these coonhound field trials and he's been to Illinois before them but not going to this one this year. He has about a dozen hounds that he runs.

Speaking of hounds, I saw about 2 weeks ago my County Humane Society had 5 walker pups they had for adoption. I seriously thought about getting one but I just don't have the time to train one for hunting.

Have a great day everyone. :D

Another clear morning at 33 degrees again. Calling for rain and snow later on then trending warmer towards the weekend. Man, October flew by quickly! I can't believe it's November already.

Have a great day everyone. :D

It got really warm here all of the sudden as well Chief, 52 this morning and supposed to get well into the 60's today. Usually, all of our trees are bare this time of year but the forests still have quite a few leaves on them yet. It's a very weird weather pattern we are getting into.

TGIF everyone. :D
