Heading out into central Oregon for a mule deer hunt. Will be gone until late next week. Maybe someone will have figured out the "What is this? " by then. See you folks later!

Two of us hunted hard for five days and only saw one buck which we could not shoot, as he was in someone's front yard. Found out that due to last winter's excessive snows, 60% of the deer herd perished, in the unit we were hunting. Saw only eleven does and fawns, one coyote, lots of squirrels, chipmunks, and birds while in the field. Going to take some time for the population to increase, so We are talking of trying a different unit. Need to talk to some biologists.
