It does resemble a plumbers wrench, but that isn't what it is. Also, it is about eight inches long.

Tooth puller, although looks to have a fairly thick gauge so I'm not sure how they'd get around the ivory unless you would just angle to torque on it...

Yup, a tooth extractor. Was used before the days of anesthesia. If you were lucky, they got you drunk first. Was a major advancement in dental care, but most likely caused collateral damage to the gums and adjacent teeth.

That's interesting as ell Rem. I've got pliers and screwdrivers and farrier tools I'd use to pull a tooth before picking up that thing. :shock:
