Thanks guys. Yes Wolf, fox and yote, although I haven't seen much yote sign this year. I have seen a huge gray fox and some pretty reds. No luck last night, but I usually start off slow.

Snaring is a waiting game, the more you got out, the less you wait!

Got this nice 13 lb. female today. Would have had a second catch but had my head up my butt when I made the snare and forget to crimp the ferrule.

Yes, I am an idiot.

doc- That gray must be eating well around your neighborhood, nice and tubby!! I wish we had those little cuties around here. I guess I'll have to settle for a badger...

Yeah Swamp, just hope someone can learn from my bonehead dumbness.

Caught a big fat sow coon in a cage last night. 17 pounds, caught some fat coons in my day but this thing was a butterball. Bottomed out my fleshing beam by the time I got her fleshed. Fed the fat to my hogs and 2 of them went into cardiac arrest. :--o :--o Oh well.

Good job on the coon doc! Keepin it for tanning? Being they arent worth any more than a possum. Is that 17lbs huge for a coon in ur area doc? I know it would be for a Texas coon. Would be average for my area here in north central Ks.

Thanks Richard. Yes, I'm going to tan it, and the foxes too. That is good size for a female . A 20 pound boar is large for this area.

Got a double on foxes in the snares last night, and another male coon in one of the cages,
