His first ever, and done it with his longbow. 10 yard shot, and the deer struggled to make it 15 yards. Im super proud of him!

Awesome!!!! You've taught him well Amak, glad he got a chance to stick a nice one and with a recurve. He certainly has grown up!! Has he always been darker hair? I don't remember younger days pixs of him that dark. I wish I could grow mine as thick across the top as him (hahahahaha!!!)!

Thanks all! He is still all hyped up over it...lol.
Russ just scored a nice big doe, being his first archery deer too. I got mine a few weeks back. Now need a buck!

Nonpc, yeah, pretty much been darker haired, but its darkened a lil as he aged.

Nonpc, these are actually reflex/deflex longbows. Slight curve to the limbs, but not near as much as a recurve. They are much quieter because the string never touches the back of the limb even when shot.

Good to see Russ is still living :D Congrats to him on his deer. Looks like your freezer will be filled with venison this fall. No deer yet for me, might have to give up this deck hunting and concentrate at my sons place.
