Hey, been awhile since I have been around a computer. I don't have one or really miss having one. Except this site lol.
Just wanted to stop in and say hello to everyone.
Started a new job working at a post and pole mill. Really liking it. Good work, decent pay, good boss, and I live right beside it.
Have a huge wildfire about a mile from the house, I am supposed to be evacuated. But signed a refusal to evac waiver. Need to watch the mill so it doesn't go up from embers in the wind.
Just search for the "sawtooth" fire in Montana. Bugger came out of nowhere and blew up big time.

Mt may have a fight for its trapping rights. The anti's got a full ban on the upcoming ballot. The trapping association had a secret plan to prevent that from happening. It consisted of
sitting on their backsides and doing nothing. Guess what!? It didn't work. Cant use the words I want to.............................

Well, gotta run and check the yard. Just wanted to stop in and say Hi again.

Hello Woodswalker, I thought maybe you had walked out into the woods and forgot all about your friends here on WAT. Try not to get caught up in the big burn, let us know if they get the fire out before it reaches the mill and your place!

The fire is pretty much out. Mostly just underground a bit. It rained hard yesterday. But if it gets hot again and the wind picks up it could get out of control again.
Will try to get some pix of it up.

What type of longbow are you shooting? I love the feel. Looking forward to hunting with mine again. I haven't since before I got sick.

Im shooting a Maddog Prairie Predator by Mike Mecredy. Actually I have 2! One is mainly osage orange riser with black walnut, the other is Bacote riser with red elm limbs. 44 lb and 45 lb draw at 28". Dead in the hand, and dead quiet. Im using douglas fir arrows. What do you shoot?

I wish the fire was out. It ran out of fuel and died down. SO they pretty much backed off. It is still burning in a few small areas. They are dropping water with helicopters for a few hours every day when it flairs up. Not sure if they have hand crews on it or not. But they are just playing at it. Not actually trying to do anything.

I shoot a Centaur longbow 55 @ 28. it is solid Bacote limbs and riser, fit to my hand and specs. They are made here in the valley and the Bowyer is a good friend of mine. He is a great guy.
