I found these two turds in a small field, and it looks like it came from two different coyotes. One pile is smaller than the other, and probably one animal dumped his pile, and then another came and dumped his in an attempt to establish dominance? Or maybe from a breeding pair?

I thought about a flat set, but all this rain has turned everything into a mud hole. Besides, there were nice looking game trails leading into the clearing. I set six snares yesterday evening and when I came back this morning, I had a nice male coyote waiting. He stunk!!

Yeah he was a handsome animal....big, strong and healthy. He made my day, and got to ride in the back seat. He took FOREVER to skin!

Job well done and it seems the snares were the correct choice for your situation.

Fine looking yote, I can see why you put him in the back seat. Congrats and go get some more.
