3 bait permits.

2 bears out of 2 sites in 2 seasons, in the same spring.
Might be doable. ;) :)

It is snowing in the valley today but I managed to get out and scout a mid level site.

The trail in. ( Opens in 11 days )

Breaking up off the trail into the timber.

Coming shortly trapperrick.

Swamp , you know I like to play with them for a while. Bear with me, please.

3 years ago the birds ate a full barrel of bait in 2 days, -twice-.

and night

and deer

The non-target animals had to go!
.." Bird Guard "..

Image

The guard put an immediate stop to both. In fact the noise from the chains probably act as a call themselves. :--D

2 years ago Pipepusher rolled the hand cart above this culvert and had to aim for that small evergreen directly above the water.

Image

I am starting to wise up. Last evening I cleaned things up a bit.

Destination. 400 yards up this drainage.

At sunrise this AM, I took 3 loads in.

Bait is out 8)

Hopefully Wednesday a small deck will be added. (Mostly for me) , turn the barrel, erect ladder stand, build ground blind and hang a beaver carcass.
There are 3 bear cams out now. :D

Pipepusher, do you have to remove the barrel when season ends or can you leave it until the next season?

Oh yeah, thanks so much for the moose beer sticks you sent for the rondy...delicious.

I think the bear roast turned out very good....I'll wait and see what some of the others who tried it say about it.
