Swamp, that pic looks a lot like what i see everyday with my buzzards  and i saw the groundhog hide pic. That looked really cool. I need to get me something like that. A good ol' "whistle-pig" sign for the fur shed

ive heard about snatching but what is it exactly. a trotline tied to a big treble hook like on swamp people. & do u just throw it blindly in the water or is it a spot & stalk method. ive still been bowfishing & now that the water is in the fields its been great. next sat, we was thinking of using a gig or cast net on the gar. just to do something different. lol i love fishing without rod & reels. heres some we got last wed. off the bridge-19 & sat. out in fields 20+. i even shot 2 with 1 arrow that was cool. my cousin did it a couple weeks ago but now ive caught up. lol

Went to the TFTA spring meeting the other day. Wasn't a very big turn out but i got to talk to some other TN trappers and hear some interesting stories. Learned a little bit too :D Also bought sone drowning cables, snares, and a bottle of fish oil in the fund raising auction.

Today i set a snare to catch a groundhog out of a neighbors shed. Trapping never stops around here

I went bowfishing last night. Didnt go so well  Im starting to think that its not for me lol. we just dont have a good enogh boat or lights. I did see a few muskrat, I know where im going to have some traps set when season opens :--D As far as fishimg goes, I havent done much. I have tried skipjack fishing for catfish/trap bait, but i havent caught many.

I planted the dove field the other day. Hope everything has a good turn out this year. I look forward to dove season every year about as much as trapping season. I have also been trying to get everything together for my hunting trip to africa next month. I just need to go get the shots now

Started my dermestid beetle colony off yesterday with a coyote bacula and a grey squirrel skull. Its amazing how much those bugs can eat in less than 24 hours.

We caught 18 blue cats. They all together weighed 72.5 lbs and the biggest fish weighed 19.5 lbs. Thats the biggest fish we have ever caught other than one three years ago that weighed 28 lbs.
