I'm visiting my dad in Florida and he keeps asking me how he can catch the Gecko's that sneak into his house every so often I told him that maybe he could get some glue traps and that might work and then to spray them with vegetable oil to remove them from the trap. Anyone have another solution for Gecko's or how to lure them to a glue trap?

I lived in Hawaii for a couple of years. We welcomed the little buggers. They eat insects and mostly stay hidden during the day. Never even considered them a pest and never tried to get rid of them. :P

Not sure you'll ever remove one alive and unharmed from a glue trap. They are beneficial but do bother folks who don't like "lizards".

I agree with you all that I would just let the little guys stay and eat the bugs. I don't think that they really bother my dad it's more of my dad's wife who is insistent on getting them out of the house. I see these little guys all over the place here in Florida. Are they technically Gecko's, Chameleons, or Anoles?
